(Or even lawyers for prosecution of rape?)
3. What role did the social constraints on male sexuality play in this case? How is it that two men could be so obsessed with each other despite all of these constraints against them, and yet they apparently were not able to act upon their desires? I mean, if there was nothing you could do about your attraction to someone else because no one would ever want you anyway, how are you supposed to judge whether or not what happened was consensual or non-consensual? This story just thoroughly confuses me. It’s hard for me to see how this woman’s victimization here had anything at all to do with the legal system, but perhaps this is more wishful thinking than anything else.
