The Montblanc Matin and the Lamy Safari are two great legal-duty pens that can be used with confidence when in service. I’ve been using the Montblanc Matin for over eight years now, and it never fails to impress. The design is clean and contemporary (though not quite as timeless/elegant as a Pelikan), but there are no clunky logos anywhere to distract from writing performance. It has a very solid feel despite its non-traditional shape, which makes it easy to grip even during long hours of intensive document review. And while some have called this pen “boring” or “generic,” I find that it brings an old school vibe—it reminds me of ‘80s fountain pens. It also looks good on anyone willing try something new!
My advice? If you are able to get your hands on one of these superb pens at closeout prices, do so without hesitation! This pen will help you get more done while always looking professional!
