Microsoft Word is the standard word processor for law offices, and nearly all lawyers (including myself) use it. Microsoft Word does not provide voice recognition; it only allows you to dictate text into the software. Unless your firm uses an app like Speechpad or Dragon Naturally Speaking, there are no dictation programs that will allow you to talk directly into your computer rather than typing on the keyboard (although plenty of lawyers do this). Plus, I can hardly think of any time when being able to type faster would have helped me create legal documents more efficiently.
