Best Book On Class Actions For Lawyers?

I think the best book on class actions for lawyers is Class Action Litigation (3d ed). It’s an excellent reference work. If you want to learn more about class action litigation, I would also recommend The Federal Class Action: Cases and Materials (2d ed.). You should also check out two other books that are good introductions to the topic: Understanding Class Actions by Sanford Levinson (and coauthors) and Responding To Multi-Party Litigants by David H. Silverman & Philip V. Johnson. Finally, if you want to stay up-to-date with these issues but don’t have time or energy for endless reading, consider subscribing to one of the law journals related to this area of practice – things like the American Lawyer or Mass Tort Update might be a good way for you to do so.
